Tameika Isaac Devine

Councilwoman Tameika Issac Devine’s favorite thing about Five Points is the area has something for someone at every stage of life.

Her first memory of Five Points was grabbing lunch at Groucho’s and heading to MLK Park with her dad. When she began Law School at USC, the district still held a close place in her heart. “I would rally some friends for a study break and head to Sushi Yoshi with the little time and little money we had."

My favorite memories from Five Points were the small ones, just hanging out with friends.

Today, Devine and her family like to spend time in Scoopy Doo, Revente, Drip, Sunrise Bath & Body, and, of course, Groucho’s. “Whether you’re young and single, or with your family, Five Points prides itself in having something for everyone.”

Her favorite event is the St. Pat’s Parade - “The city has a float in the parade, and last year, we were the only ones on it. We had a blast!”

Mark your calendars, set a reminder, tell a friend, just get down to Five Points for these upcoming events!
