Abigail Zeiler moved here from Indiana in 2010 for undergrad at USC. One of her first memories of Five Points is the first time she went to Village Idiot. “I was down for orientation and I went with my parents. I remember right when we walked in it felt like “college” with all the sports and Gamecock gear.” Now as the COR Executive Director, Zeiler enjoys Jakes on summer nights with friends.
I go out there with my friends a lot, especially in the summer when it dies down and you can actually hear yourself think.
Zeiler really likes the local feel of Five Points businesses. She loves City Yoga, Copper Penny, Gourmet Shop, El Burrito, Drip and Loose Lucy’s. “I’m a huge fan of Stacy Millner-Collins, owner of City Yoga. She is a wonderful yoga teacher and her and her husband are Cubs fans so I have to support them.” Zeilers’ favorite spots to grab lunch are Gourmet Shop and El Burrito. She admits she’s never been to Saluda's, but hopes to go soon. As a hippie at heart Zeiler looks forward to JerryFest every year. “I love live music and think it’s really cool we have a community that comes out and celebrates the life of Jerry Garcia.”
