Each season, Robert Newton and James Beresford put together an amazing ensemble of entertainment comprised of over 40 of their students. The two musical gurus have been teaching people to play great music in Columbia for years!! Their students include members from bands such as: Almost Jason, The South, Under the Influence, King Hippo, Burns out Bright, Capitol Funk, Captain Easy, The Progression, and more!

Since their formation in 2003, Passafire has been rocking crowds with their unique mix of roots reggae, contemporary rock and hip hop. Their sound is an exciting, fresh mix of their talent, creativity, formal training and influences which include early reggae, R&B, folk, modern urban and electronic music. A veteran of both large and small crowds, Passafire just finished The Right Coast Reggae Tour with The Movement. With their one of a kind sound the group has gained a reputation nation wide for stirring live shows and promises to offer a mesmerizing performance to the Five After Five crowd.

You never knew six strings, a couple of microphones and a big white fella could bring so much positive energy to the table. Backed by years of hard work, a stage presence you can’t teach and his musical wingman Paul Kearns, Zach has created a style all his own. Like the range of his voice, his musical influences create a melting pot of funk originality. Watch hips sway and troubles sweat themselves away when Zach Deputy takes the stage.
